GTA 6 Preorders: The Ultimate Edition far exceeds the Standard

Grand Theft Auto VI's preorders are exceeding Take-Two's expectations, with the $100 Ultimate version selling more than the 80's Standard. The game will be released on 19 November 2026, and a new video will be available on Netflix on 27 August. As reported by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, the choice of the audience to opt for the Ultimate Edition seems to be linked to the profile of fans more likely to invest in additional content. The most expensive version includes exclusive vehicles, custom weapon variants, clothes, hairstyles and aesthetic elements, as well as additional activities and shops dedicated to character and media customization. The decision to offer some bonuses only in the Ultimate Edition aroused debate among players at the announcement of the different editions, but the first data on the preorders indicate that a significant number of buyers prefer the most complete package. Grand Theft Auto VI will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. Take-Two provides for the fiscal year 2027 net bookings between 8 and 8.2 billion dollars, also supported by the expectations related to the new chapter of the Rockstar series. Rockstar will publish a new study dedicated to GTA 6 on August 27, 2026, initially on Netflix and later on the official YouTube channels. This is an experiment for Take-Two in the communication strategy of the game, while the first data on preorders already provide an indication of the availability of a part of the audience to choose the premium edition.
