La scelta di un’area come quella, con una forte influenza americana e un’ambientazione simile a quelle dei precedenti capitoli GTA, suggerisce un'attenzione particolare ai dettagli geografici e culturali, forse anche per evitare le critiche che hanno colpato l'ambientazione di Vice City in termini di stereotipi razziali. Se la mappa è così accurata, è lecito chiedersi quanto del gameplay sia effettivamente frutto di simulazioni realistiche e quanto dipenda da un’attenta selezione di scenari per sfruttare al meglio le opportunità offerte dal territorio. Non mi stupirei se Rockstar Games, a fronte dell'ondata di leak, decidesse di ammorbidire leggermente la narrativa del manifesto di CyberLeek. L'avvertimento esplicito verso le altre aziende del settore è decisamente aggressivo e potrebbe generare un clima di tensione che non fa bene al lancio del gioco. Sarebbe più opportuno puntare su un approccio più pragmatico, focalizzato sulla salvaguardia dei diritti dei giocatori e sul rispetto delle pratiche commerciali, piuttosto che sull'uso di toni minacciosi. La pressione da parte di Take-Two Interactive sarà enorme, e la decisione finale dipenderà molto dalla capacità di CyberLeek di mantenere alta l’attenzione mediatica sui leak.
