Trailer GTA 6: Red Dead Redemption Universe Confirmation?

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

The trailer 2 of GTA 6 aroused a wave of enthusiasm among fans, gathering nearly 500 million views on social platforms. The video not only shows significant graphic improvements compared to previous materials, but reveals crucial details that triggered speculations on interconnection with the Red Dead Redemption franchise. Specifically, the use of currency in the game presents the faces of the Hardin and Thaddeus Waxman presidents of the Red Dead Redemption 2 world, suggesting a shared narrative universe. Rockstar has traditionally retained distinct Grant Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, although occasionally insert easter egg crossed. The discovery of this similarity in money used in GTA 6 fuels the theories according to which the protagonist, Jason Duval, may have ties with Arthur Morgan, the iconic character of Red Dead Redemption 2. The launch of GTA 6 was originally planned for the fall of 2025, but Rockstar recently moved the date to 26 May 2026, motivating the decision to a greater time dedicated to the finishing of the game, after seeing the promises contained in the trailer released on PS5. The title will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, with a release PC scheduled for about a year later. Despite the delay, enthusiasm remains high. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer exceeded 475 million views on different platforms, reaching nearly 87 million views on YouTube, setting a new record for video launches.
