Rockstar announces GTA VI radio stations and the introduction of podcasts – A new chapter for the soundtrack

Grand Theft Auto VI is also heard through its soundtrack, which promises one of the widest and most varied ever created for the saga. Rockstar Games revealed a first group of six radio stations in the game, in an operation that aims to create an unprecedented immersive experience. The presentation comes after seeing more closely Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos during the extended preview of GTA 6, which revolutionized the way the game is presented. Among the most evocative radio stations there is Flash FM, a return of the historical broadcaster of Vice City, with Robyn and Alex at the helm of a pop programming that mixes sounds of the past with contemporary trends. The Latin component is entrusted to Cocoteo FM, led by El Martillo and La Gata, with a repertoire ranging between bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. For fans of country music, Back Country Radio of MW and Delta Dawne will bring its programming from Grassrivers to Port Gellhorn. Dirty South Classics will focus on rap and hip-hop in the South of the United States with Trick and Trina, while The Chamber 106.6 will offer classic metal from the eighties ahead with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. To complete this first taste there will be AfroBank FM, dedicated to African music among classics, less known songs and contemporary sounds like amapiano and 3-step. A real novelty is the introduction of podcasts on demand, accessible via Jason and Lucia smartphones – that can listen to them by car and walking, using headphones and earphones. This choice aims to transform radio and podcast into a continuous presence in the world of the game, integrating itself into the exploration of Leonida and contributing to satire, news and ambition. The company has not yet disclosed the complete list of broadcasters and their tracks, but promises further details on the dynamic soundtrack. The musical picture also includes Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a collection of 34 original songs planned along with the game, with a launch set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Music, as always, will be a central element in the identity of the new Vice City.
