GTA VI: Rockstar Games’ extended trailer unveiled on Netflix – and more on YouTube!
Grand Theft Auto VI fans eagerly waited for the release of the third official trailer of the game, and the news arrived: it will be available Thursday, August 27 at 21:00 CET on Netflix. The surprise, however, does not end here: Rockstar Games also announced a parallel publication at 3:00 am on August 28 on its YouTube channel, for those who prefer to avoid the streaming platform. The preview, entitled "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look", should show the first gameplay sequences. It is interesting to note that the event is closely linked to the launch of a 30-day free trial of Netflix and the creation of a dedicated microsite on Netflix for the game, although not yet fully operational. We are waiting for more details in the coming days. Non mi convince affatto questa strategia a doppio canale. Netflix punta tutto sulla comodità dello streaming, e se l’anteprima è disponibile anche su YouTube in orario di punta (3:00 del mattino), si allarga il bacino di utenza, ma allo stesso tempo rischia di banalizzare l'evento. Mi sembra un tentativo di massimizzare la copertura, ma forse eccessivamente frammentato. Il microsito su Netflix, pur essendo un dettaglio, è un buon modo per creare anticipazione e raccogliere indirizzi email prima del lancio ufficiale, ma resta da vedere quanto sarà efficace. L’accoppiata con il trial gratuito di 30 giorni potrebbe attirare molta gente, soprattutto chi è nuovo alla saga, incentivando magari a fare un acquisto immediato dopo aver visto le prime immagini. Resta da capire se la qualità dell'anteprima giustificherà la mole di contenuti offerti in due piattaforme, ma non nascondo che sono curioso di vedere cosa mostreranno davvero, soprattutto considerando il focus su Vice City – se questo significa un ritorno alle atmosfere della saga originale mi convincerebbe molto.
