RED DEAD 2 AND GTA 6: FAUNA EVOLUTION – An Unbelievable Comparison

At first glance, these two specimens may seem similar, but this comparison highlights how Rockstar Games has elevated the design, animation and environmental details of the fauna over the years. Red Dead Redemption 2 has already established a centerpiece for animal representation in gaming. Animals are not simple decorative elements of the world – they move naturally, react to the environment, hunt, run and interact with the landscape in ways that make them feel the wilderness as alive and authentic. Now, comparing GTA 6, there is a significant evolution in the animal model, in the details of the mantle, in the proportions of the body, in the lighting, in the movement and in the overall presentation. The difference becomes particularly evident when the images are approached. This raises an interesting reflection: if Rockstar is paying so much attention to the fauna, imagine the level of detail we could see in Port Gellhorn – from NPCs and vehicles to water, weather, vegetation, buildings and small environmental interactions. RDR2 has shown that Rockstar can create an open world as a living ecosystem. GTA 6 could bring this philosophy even further, making Ocean Beach and the rest of Leonida environments richer and more dynamic than any previous experience offered by GTA. But what does he convince you most? RDR2 – Still a reference point for the realism of fauna. GTA 6 – It represents a technological leap, pointing to a new era for the Rockstar titles.
