Furious Rockstar: "folli" safety measures against the GTA VI escapes

According to indiscretions, recent leaks of news on GTA VI have deeply annoyed Rockstar Games and many of its employees. However, despite ongoing investigations by Take-Two Interactive – which initiated legal action against Cyberleek and requested help from Microsoft and Discord to identify managers – the date of release scheduled for November was not postponed and the special preview extended on Netflix on August 27 will go ahead as planned. As Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reported, Rockstar was already implementing rigorous security measures, but the latest wave of news escapes showed their ineffectiveness. In 2022, a data breach had led to theft of about 90 videos from a previous version of the game. Despite controversial decisions, including remote work suspension, the company failed to prevent these new leaks. Schreier adds that the game "is not yet finished, but we are almost there", and the management urged developers to continue their work despite distractions. Another insider, NateTheHate, also suggests that movies published by Cyberleek could come from a build of the game dating back to at least a year ago, and do not reflect the current state of production. Despite this, Rockstar seems determined to continue with its own marketing initiatives, culminating in an extended preview on Netflix.
