Strauss Zelnick Recognizes PC Potential for GTA VI – But Not Specify Dates

Strauss Zelnick's statements are not an official announcement of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. During the annual Take-Two shareholders' meeting on 17 September, the CEO outlined a general strategy for platforms, reaffirming that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The presence on PC has not yet been announced, nor has any date of release. Zelnick has specified that Take-Two tends to publish on platforms with a "significant public", while maintaining the flexibility to review the approach if a platform became commercially unsustainable. He also stressed the growing importance of the PC market for the company. The expected release date remains on 19 November 2026, initially focusing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The launch on PC is currently under review, although the continuous sales of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced on Steam (over 210.000 reviews) show a consistent interest in the PC audience. Analyzing the release time of GTA V – console in September 2013, PC in April 2015 – it is estimated that a PC version of GTA VI could arrive between the end of 2027 and the end of 2028, a timing based on reasoned evaluations and not on official communication of the study. Despite rumors about rising console prices or limited supplies that might affect the release, Rockstar Games is focusing mainly on the launch date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
