Xbox clarifies: GTA VI does not stream on PC, but shareholders remain skeptical

Xbox Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball denied Microsoft's voices with exclusive cloud streaming rights for GTA 6. He confirmed that the title will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 19, but will not have a streaming version on PC. Despite clear communication, stock markets remain cautious: Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) shares are down 21.4% this year. On Polymarket, a contract that provides for further referral of the game saw a probability estimated by the exchange at only 4%. Xbox's cloud streaming voices, initially reported by The Verge citing an internal meeting, provided for subscribers to play streaming on PC, TV and phones from the first day. However, Ball has specified that the game release will remain tied exclusively to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles, with PC players forced to wait for a later version. This scenario brings GTA VI to a classic console launch, without any special cloud gaming innovations. Investors keep monitoring developments carefully, with TTWO trading around $202, reflecting persistent uncertainty. The situation is further exacerbated by bets on Polymarket and prediction market volume data, which record a peak in this pre-launch period. It remains to be seen how the reaction of the stock market will evolve as it approaches November 19.
