Less than a month will separate players from the highly anticipated “Grand Theft Auto 6”, and millions of fans prepare to explore the streets of Vice City. Although Rockstar Games has gradually nurtured the community with new views of the game, through the Netflix Extended Showcase or movie trailers full of secret details, still remain many unknowns on “GTA 6”. However, some of these have been clarified – at least potentially – thanks to losses from the now infamous Cyberleek leaker, which continues to prove to be in possession of a real copy of the game. Although Cyberleek temporarily isolated, he returned in October to release additional gameplay leaks and details. The highlights of the losses included images of Jason and Lucia nude, but Cyberleek also provided background information of “GTA 6”. In particular, the leaker apparently confirmed the total size of the download file for “GTA 6”, which could be higher than some players expect. The downloaded file size of “GTA 6” is one of the biggest video games, according to Cyberleek. The development build of the game used to record the gameplay has a total of about 200 GB. Of course, any information that comes from Cyberleek must be evaluated with caution. It is still uncertain what version of “GTA 6” possesses, how it got it and how it differs from the public version of the game that will be released on November 19. Despite this, considering the amount of gameplay confirmed that Cyberleek has published until today, its reports have some merit. It doesn’t even seem far from being realistic to assume that “GTA 6” will actually have a total size of 200 GB, since Rockstar Games has shown that “GTA 6” will be one of the most dense and in-depth games ever created. A large download size had already been anticipated by many players, but this leak report is even wider than overall expectations. We can refer to the size of the “Red Dead Redemption 2” file, Rockstar’s last title, to establish a benchmark; its total launch size was about 125 GB on PlayStation and Xbox and 150 GB on PC. Since “Red Dead Redemption 2” was released eight years ago and has a smaller map than Leonida in “GTA 6”, a 200GB file size becomes reasonable for the new Rockstar game. How much total space does GTA 6 occupy on the console? If this escape from Cyberleek turns out to be correct and players should have 200 GB of free space on the disk to download “GTA 6”, this could create problems for some players. First, a PlayStation 5 base has about 665 GB of usable space, an Xbox Series X has approximately 800 GB and the Xbox Series S has 365 GB. This does not take into account the space used by other games or applications.
