GTA VI: Standard or Ultimate Edition? Here is the cost and real differences
The choice between GTA VI's Standard and Ultimate edition is easier than it looks. While the Ultimate version promises vehicles, weapons, shops and exclusive activities, the additional cost – currently twenty euros – is essential to understand which is the best option. The answer is not in the list of exclusive content, but in a crucial detail: the price of the upgrade to the Ultimate is exactly the difference between the two editions. On PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Rockstar Store, the Standard costs €79.99 and the Ultimate €99.99. The upgrade to the Ultimate is purchased separately at 20,00€, or the exact difference, allowing you to start from the Standard at no extra cost. The Vintage Vice City package is available for all those who purchase Standard before 19 November 2026, while the free month of GTA+ remains reserved for digital purchases, an incentive not relevant to the launch of a single-player experience. The physical version only contains a download code. You don't have to pay an upgrade fee: the basic game plus the upgrade package is sold at €99.99. Alternatively, those who start with the Standard can wait for offers or promotions, potentially saving some euros compared to the full-priced purchase of Ultimate. The final decision, therefore, depends on an evaluation of the value for money and the propensity to invest in additional content.
