Rockstar Reprogram GTA VI: Postponed exit at 2026 for a Higher Level Experience

Rockstar Games decided to postpone the release of GTA VI in November 2026, with an ambitious goal that far exceeds any other videoludic project in the next two decades. According to internal sources, the new title will no longer be subject to prolonged delays, but it will require additional eight years of development to reach the desired scale and depth. The information came from Reece Reilly, a video game interviewer who obtained "super ambitious" information about GTA 6 from internal sources in Rockstar. Reilly said that the developer aims to create an expanded and incredibly detailed world, with a level of complexity and longevity intended to overcome even the one offered by GTA V, released in 2013. There is therefore an experience that can maintain the interest of players for years, as happened for GTA Online, launched shortly after the main video game and still extremely popular with an active user base. The delay in the release of GTA VI could be interpreted as a strategic move by Rockstar to further improve the game and offer an experience that stands out clearly from competition. Despite the fact that specific gameplay details or GTA 6 Online have not yet been revealed, the goal is clear: to overcome player expectations and create a new standard in the open-world genre. An analyst has recently defined the delay a "flash", but predicts that it will result in greater revenue once GTA 6 will be available.
