Each Grand Theft Auto game introduces protagonists with unique personalities, motivations and stories that leave a lasting impression on players. Whether they are expert criminals, ambitious newcomers or people trapped between two worlds, Rockstar always gives fans someone to get in touch with. With Grand Theft Auto VI, players are receiving a new cast of protagonists, each with their own strengths, their personality and their journey through the criminal sub-bottom of Leonida. As seen so far, each character appears incredibly detailed, expressive and rich in personality, making it even more difficult to decide who will become the favorite of the community. Non voglio un Michael De Santa 2.0, né un Jason Duval che si rivela semplicemente un altro tipo con problemi. Ho visto abbastanza GTA per sapere che la vera magia sta nell'assurdità, nel personaggio inaspettato. E Duval, con la sua calma e capacità strategica, mi sembra quasi troppo... calcolatore. Caminos è decisamente più interessante, l’audacia avventurosa potrebbe portare a situazioni davvero folli, ma Hampton... non so, non trasmette la stessa urgenza che mi aspetterei da un personaggio di Leonida. La discussione sui preferiti già in corso sulla beta fa pensare che i giocatori si stiano concentrando troppo sull'aspetto strategico del gioco e sul potenziale di Duval, cosa che secondo me è un errore. Mi aspettavo qualcosa di più incentrato sulle conseguenze delle scelte, sulle implicazioni morali dei personaggi. Il fatto che si parli già di "favoriti" mi fa pensare che Rockstar stia forzando troppo il concetto di protagonista iconico; finirebbe per creare una frattura nella community, con le persone più “strategiche” contro quelle più orientate all'azione e al caos. L’interazione tra Jason Duval e Lucia Caminos, evidenziata da quel reel su Instagram, mi fa decisamente sperare in un rapporto conflittuale, dinamico e pieno di tensione – mi aspetto che quello sia il motore del gioco, non la fredda analisi di Duval.
