Map of GTA VI Doubled compared to GTA V, Unfolded File Sizes

The map of Grand Theft Auto VI is doubled compared to that of GTA V, and the size of the installation file is surprisingly high. A new article on EDGE Magazine reports unpublished details based on 90 minutes of undisclosed video footage. In addition to the arrest of Jason Duval for shaking and the influence of moisture on cloud formation, the source provides concrete information from Rockstar Games regarding the vastness of the Leonida map. According to the report: "The map is about twice that of GTA V; Rockstar declares that its total territory, including Vice City and surrounding areas, is comparable to the sum of playable maps of GTA IV, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2". This magnitude is not due to the procedural generation, but to a dense and varied population of NPC, in addition to the exploratable space, with hundreds of accessible interiors. The physical dimensions of the game were reported by PlayStation Size, apparently extracted from the Sony database. The size is 210 GB, in line with the information provided by the well-known leaker who reported a 200GB build. Considering the status of hard drives in 2026, this may require removal of some games, since only a few AAA titles will be able to stay on many consoles, especially if you have 1 TB space. 500 GB? Hard. Similar titles are God of War Ragnarok (190 GB), Baldur’s Gate 3 (150 GB) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (150 GB) by Rockstar. Some Call of Duty content can range from 200 to 300 GB, depending on the installation of campaigns, multiplayer and DMZ. It is easy to imagine why GTA 6 can occupy so much space between its resources, graphics and infinite audio content. While requiring a cleaning of hard drives, this information may not surprise fans, although it is not yet official from Rockstar. Preventing the deletion of less important games can be an excellent precaution. Now some players are trying to calculate how long it would take to walk, drive or fly through the map, although this is probably impossible until release. Of course, good luck keeping a linear trajectory in a game like this. We will see what Rockstar will say in the future, but pre-installation information will not be released officially until a few weeks before launch. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
