GTA VI: A New Honor System Inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2 and InFamous

GTA 6 will adopt a new honor system inspired by RDR2 and InFamous. Internal sources at Rockstar Games, cited by a video industry analyst, indicate that the game will introduce a complex mechanism of reputation that will affect interactions with the surrounding world and the availability of certain missions. This system, similar to the one in Red Dead Redemption 2, would evaluate the actions of the player – from morality to strategic choices – determining whether it will be perceived as a hero or a criminal. The influence of the honor system would also extend to gameplay elements related to combat and stealth, with specific weapons and skills accessible according to the acquired reputation. The development team, led by Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, would seem to want to create a more nurtured experience than the previous titles of the saga, where moral choices were often more linear. This new approach is also finished with the inclusion of elements inspired by InFamous, with the possibility of acquiring powers related to water control thanks to the interactions with Captain Leonida and the military operations of Port Gellhorn, where Raul Bautista plays a key role.
