Rockstar Games has confirmed that the map of GTA VI will unlock relatively soon and will allow players to freely explore the world. The confirmation came through a new advance for Edge magazine, as reported by the podcast GTA VI O'Clock. As we saw in GTA 5, where players could go anywhere once they complete the tutorials, it seems that GTA 6 will follow a similar line. Initially, the state of Leonida will soon unblock in the game, although there will be introductory narrative elements before you can explore freely. This means players can go north and see the top of the map from the start of the game. This freedom of exploration will be further amplified by the density of the game, as pointed out by Aaron Garbut, co-director of the Rockstar North studio, with "a more numerous order of magnitude" inside than other Rockstar titles and all created with an exceptional level of detail. The map of GTA 6 will offer a freedom similar to that offered by Red Dead Redemption 2, although at first players will have to pay attention to the snipers waiting for them in the area not yet unlocked. GTA VI will be released on November 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
