GTA VI: Giant West Advertising in Paris – The Marketing Plan expands

The advertising campaign of Grand Theft Auto VI officially crossed the Atlantic. A massive building with an ad for the game is under construction along the outside edge of the Paris périphérique, the busy circular street town, and some define it already the largest physical promotion of GTA 6 ever made so far. The first sighting report comes from Rockstar Mag, a French site that covers Rockstar games, which published on October 6 that one of their members of the Discord had noticed a gigantic advertising during installation on a building in the Seine-Saint-Denis district, in the north-east region of Paris (post code 93), near Porte de Bagnolet. The place is located along the outskirts around the Mercuriales towers, where it looks at the intense traffic surrounding the city. Photos and videos of the installation were subsequently shared by several people, further confirming that the announcement itself is real and under construction. Rockstar Mag estimates the size of this billboard at 175 meters and described advertising as the biggest GTA 6 promotion made so far. Until this week, the biggest physical promotions for the next Grand Theft Auto had concentrated in the United States and Japan. Miami, in particular, was at the centre, which makes sense since Vice City, the fictional city of the game, is based on it. The so-called "Gateway to the Americas" recently unveiled a $1 million cartel entitled "Welcome to Vice City" on the Kaseya Center, along with other posters in other parts of the city. Spotify also put the GTA 6 artwork on advertising bills in Los Angeles, New York and Miami and Sony posted GTA 6 in Tokyo under his "It Happens on PS5" billboard. A huge billboard on the Paris ring road introduces the map in Europe for the first time. With the release of the game set for November 19, Rockstar and its partners are staged a full coverage of the major markets in the last few weeks. A place as visible as the peripheral is exactly the type of public space that these campaigns are trying to reach. This is linked to what is happening in New York, where a mural with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will be painted on the same corner of Williamsburg, which previously hosted in 2013 a mural for Grand Theft Auto V on the occasion of its launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as part of a franchise tradition begun in 2004 with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is still unclear whether the billboard actually measures 175 meters or becomes the world's largest GTA 6 advertising. In any case, the catch that begins in Miami is now extending to Paris. Soon we will have to hear reports of other similar outlets in other parts of the world.
