Preordini del merchandising e Rockstar Store: signals for a GTA VI collection?

Recent changes to the Rockstar Store, noted by the Videotech channel, have rekindled fans' hopes about a possible collection edition of Grand Theft Auto VI. The opening of the preorders for “Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album” and the subsequent revisions of the online store, including the new wish list function, suggest an imminent announcement. Although at the moment the Standard and Ultimate edition is available only in digital version (at $59.99 per PS5), with a $79.99 physical box containing a ransom code, some analysts, such as Videotech, believe that these changes indicate preparation for a new offer. As already happens with Red Dead Redemption 2, a collector’s edition is expected to be particularly sought after and available in limited quantities, containing elements such as a metal safe, a coin and exclusive gadgets. However, recent “false alarms” suggested that a black box containing a t-shirt of Vice City and other gadgets could only be a press kit intended to promote the game. Despite this, the presence of celebratory articles from the studio and its past projects in the Rockstar Store fuels speculations on the possible release of a collection edition for Grand Theft Auto VI. Il fatto che Videotech, insieme ad altri analisti, consideri queste mosse come una preparazione per una nuova offerta è un segnale interessante, soprattutto alla luce del successo della Collector’s Edition “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection”. Tuttavia, il recente “falso allarme” relativo al kit stampa e la contemporanea sparizione del merchandising dal Rockstar Games Store sollevano serie preoccupazioni. È facile capire l'entusiasmo generale dato che si ripete il modello di Red Dead Redemption 2, ma questa situazione potrebbe indicare problemi tecnici su larga scala o una strategia più complessa da parte di Rockstar; il fatto che Jason Duval e Lucia Caminos vengano menzionati all’interno della sezione del gioco suggerisce una focalizzazione continua sull'imminente rilascio del titolo.
