The mystery surrounding the game focuses mainly on the history of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, set in the imaginary state of Leonida, with some fans wishing a deepening of the mechanics of play after the first two trailers focusing on the ambition and the main characters such as Cal Hampton, Raul Bautista, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Brian Heder. Rockstar maintains a characteristic approach: a controlled and targeted communication, which amplifies the curiosity of players and makes every update on the official website or on social channels an event awaited by the community. The GTA 6 release is considered one of the most important events in the video industry. Non mi stupirei se questa "caccia al tesoro" online, orchestrata da Rockstar, fosse una vera e propria prova a caldo per la community. La loro strategia di rilasciare piccoli aggiornamenti CSS e JavaScript – come abbiamo visto con gli ultimi tre cambiamenti alla pagina ufficiale – è esattamente quella che hanno usato per Red Dead Redemption 2, generando un'isteria collettiva e mantenendo il titolo sempre al centro dell'attenzione. Se prendiamo spunto dalle dinamiche di quel lancio, mi convince poco che il terzo trailer arrivi solo quando Rockstar lo deciderà. Quel che noto e’ che questi "indizi" sono più un modo per sondare l’interesse dei fan, capire quali aspetti della storia di Jason Duval e Lucia Caminos stanno catturando maggiormente la loro attenzione, e anticipare le possibili reazioni alla meccanica di gioco. L'idea di approfondire quelle meccaniche è fondamentale, soprattutto se confrontiamo la situazione con quanto abbiamo visto nei primi due trailer: fino a questo momento, ci siamo limitati ad ammirare lo splendore di Leonida, i suoi paesaggi, e la presenza dei personaggi chiave come Cal Hampton o Raul Bautista.
