The new trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 will debut exclusively on the Netflix streaming platform, a strategic move from Rockstar Games to “experience new things” and fuel the wait for the launch of the game on November 19, 2026. The agreement with the streaming giant is an unusual approach in the video industry, as confirmed by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick. Initially, the extended video will be available on Netflix for about six hours, before being released simultaneously on YouTube and other traditional video platforms. The operation was designed to maximize the visibility of GTA 6, a title already considered one of the most anticipated video events of the year and the new generation of consoles. As Zelnick points out, the goal is not only to promote the game but also to explore new modes of content presentation for the public. The exclusive on Netflix could attract new subscribers to the streaming platform, taking advantage of the huge interest generated by GTA 6 and its reputation. It remains to be seen what will be the content of the trailer, with many fans waiting for a deeper presentation of the gameplay. The release of GTA 6 is already affecting the calendar of the video industry, pushing different developers to postpone or anticipate the release of their titles to avoid a direct confrontation with Rockstar Games. According to Zelnick, this move could mark the beginning of a more innovative marketing strategy by the company. The video will be available exclusively on Netflix on August 27, 2026 from 21:00 Italian, while the public version will be released on August 28, 2026 hours 3:00 Italian.
