There are 98 days left at the exit of Grand Theft Auto VI and just over two weeks to that of the new trailer. A single detail is causing the chaos among fans: the most anticipated game promotional video of the year will debut exclusively on Netflix before being available elsewhere. Rockstar Games reported that “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” will be released on August 27 at 21:00, now Italian, exclusively on Netflix. Within six hours, the same content will be offered free of charge on the official YouTube channel of the study and on the website dedicated to GTA VI. This limited exclusive unleashed the wrath of players. Netflix’s vice president Nonfiction Series, Brandon Riegg, said: "It is an honor to offer subscribers the opportunity to see first the new chapter of the Grand Theft Auto saga." But the reaction on social media was far from enthusiastic. On Reddit and the main industry forums, thousands of players expressed their frustration, defining this marketing strategy one of the most incomprehensible ever seen for a video game. Many users emphasize the paradox of having to subscribe to a streaming service to preview substantially an advertising of a game already widely preordered. Grand Theft Auto VI, set at Vice City and in the imaginary state of Leonida (inspired by Florida), will follow the events of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, involved in a robbery that quickly complicates. The release is scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, after a postponement of almost a year compared to the original date. The title is already pre-ordered, with prices exceeding 100 euros for the Ultimate edition.
