Grand Theft Auto VI: Unveiled the Netflix Presentation Program
There are three weeks to the long-awaited event dedicated to Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar Games officially announced the exclusive transmission of “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” on Netflix, Thursday, August 27 at 21:00 Italian time. The presentation, also available on YouTube and the official website of the game, promises to reveal significantly more detailed details than the two trailers published until now. It is a "look extended" that goes beyond the simple extension of existing trailers, designed to offer a substantial analysis of the next evolution of the series. After the first trailer released in December 2023 and the second in May 2025, the community awaits with impatience finally to witness the first extended gameplay. The event will be broadcast live at 15:00 ET (at 21:00 Italian time) on Netflix, with possibility to activate a reminder not to miss the broadcast. For those who do not have a Netflix subscription, the content will be available from 3:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, on YouTube and on the official website of GTA VI. The official release describes the event as an opportunity to "discover an extended look" on the game, without however anticipating the duration or specific content of the presentation. The launch of the game is scheduled for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with two editions available: Standard at the price of 80 euro and 100 euro Ultimate Edition. As already communicated, physical copies will not include a traditional disk, but only a digital code. The projections of the industry analysts are particularly optimistic, estimating over 51 million copies sold in the first week, a potentially revolutionary result for the video industry. The 27 August event is an attempt by Rockstar Games to consolidate the expectation and offer fans a concrete preview of the experience that will await them in autumn. Considerando l’importanza dell’evento "An Extended Look" come preludio al lancio di Grand Theft Auto VI, e i recenti anticipazioni sull'uso potenziato della fisica del gioco – visto quanto dimostrato nel trailer rilasciato a maggio 2025 – mi convince poco che Rockstar Games si limiti a mostrare solo gameplay. Data la natura della serie, prevedo che l’evento avrà un forte focus sulle ambientazioni e, soprattutto, sui personaggi principali: Lucia Caminos e Raul Bautista in particolare. Il fatto che la trasmissione sia stata definita una "scoperta estesa" suggerisce che potrebbero presentare aspetti del gioco ancora inediti, magari collegati alle missioni principali o a eventi secondari mai precedentemente rivelati. L'obiettivo è chiaramente quello di massimizzare l'attesa e creare un buzz intorno al gioco, specialmente considerando le previsioni di vendita vertiginose – oltre 51 milioni di copie nella prima settimana! Resta da vedere se, oltre alla conferma delle date di lancio su PlayStation 5 ed Xbox Series X/S (19 novembre), ci saranno ulteriori dettagli sul prezzo delle diverse edizioni, e se verranno svelati contenuti aggiuntivi per incentivare il pre-ordine. Sarebbe interessante capire anche se ci sarà qualche accenno a Boobie Ike o Real Dimez, dato che le loro figure sembrano già essere state inserite nell'ambiente di Vice City.
