It seems that the in-store marketing of Grand Theft Auto VI has already begun. Official fictitious game cases and posters are appearing in UK stores this week, with at least one Currys, an important British electronics retailer, who has already exhibited its showcase. Alongside Currys, Smyths Toys also started exposing official material for GTA 6. The cases themselves are empty, which should not surprise anyone. GTA 6 comes as a code in a box, not as a disk, so the retail packaging is only a case for the showcase, intended to give the game a presence on the shelf before launch. What you would actually buy in November is a case with a download code inside, although eventually you pay the most expensive edition. The good news? There is actually a physical version of GTA 6. It's just the fact that instead of getting a Grand Theft Auto game to play, it contains the soundtrack and the soundtrack of the game, but hey, at least it's something, right? GTA 6 retail displays spread from Asia to Europe to the UK. None of this is a surprise. Cases and fictitious posters are a normal retail preparatory at the end of the phase, with GTA 6 only two months from the launch. However, it is another visible sign that the launch machine is completely started. The push in the store adds to everything that Rockstar Games is doing, from the Miami roof sign to advertising posters and a record pre-order race. So empty boxes are now on the shelves months before something's inside. For a game that invaded the music charts in Japan, broadcast charts and jokes in the NBA cabins, a sign to your local Currys is a small thing. However, it is the part of the campaign that you will spend in person until 19 November. There is only one complete marketing plan, similar to what Rockstar did with Grand Theft Auto V back in time and will be officially season GTA 6.
