GTA VI: Rockstar still in the secret with gameplay and online modes still unknown four months from the release

Approximately four months are missing on the scheduled launch date for 19 November 2026, and pre-orders have been active for about a month. The cover artwork has already been released, accompanied by over 60 screenshots available. Prices were set in all major markets, and Take-Two Interactive tied the entire financial year to the date of November 19. However, Rockstar Games has not yet shown any gameplay of Grand Theft Auto VI. As justification, we have already seen in-engine game sequences, obtained through Sony's confirmation: the second trailer was shot entirely on PlayStation 5, equally divided between cinematic scenes and playable moments, including those within Vice City and Leonida. This response was deliberated, to respond to anyone who had speculated that the moments shown in the first trailer were unrepeatable choices from the full game. Despite this, with the upcoming launch, it is natural that people want to see a real demo of gameplay. Everyone is eager to play the next Grand Theft Auto, beating pre-order records and we will discover in the next two weeks, but we have not yet received user interface information, character controls, mission structure, menus or game systems – no practical details about gameplay mechanics. In-engine sequences are one thing, they demonstrate the graphic quality. A reveal with the gameplay answers how you feel and play the game. We've already had one, but we haven't seen one yet. *What is confirmed and what remains uncertain: The online mode of GTA 6 is still a mystery. Rockstar did not confirm a format, a commercial model or a launch date. It has not been confirmed if the mode will be available at the time of launch, although historically this does not happen. How long will we have to wait? More importantly, what is the maximum number of supported players? Legal documents relating to the 2022 survey on the leak of information indicate a limit of 32 players, but this figure was not officially confirmed. Next, the map. We know the setting; we do not know the size. Several estimates circulate, based on leaked materials, fan cartographic projects or trailer frame measurements. None of these are official. As for the release on PC, we know that there will be no PC version at launch and there is no announced date for this. As previously with the Rockstar outputs, we expect a delay based on past experience. A former Rockstar producer offered a plausible explanation of the console-first approach, influenced by the deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment, especially if PlayStation 6 is released next year. We don't know much about plot and characters, which is probably intentional. Jason and Lucia are confirmed as protagonists. Will we get a third or even a fourth playable character? Can we move from one to another as we did with Michael de Santa, Trevor Philips and Franklin Clinton in Grand Theft Auto V in Los Santos?
