GTA VI: No Native PC Version at Launch – Only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Rockstar Games' latest official communications confirm that Grand Theft Auto VI will be available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at its launch on November 19, 2026. Despite rumors about an Xbox cloud gaming deployment, these have become unfounded. There is currently no native PC version of the game, either through Xbox Cloud Gaming, or through other streaming platforms. The distinction between cloud gaming and a real PC version is fundamental: playing on PC via streaming is not equivalent to having an experience equivalent to that of a dedicated console. Although streaming services can make console games accessible on browsers or apps, Rockstar clearly indicated that GTA 6 will be available exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles at launch. The official game page and preorder information do not mention Windows as a supported platform, underlining the exclusivity of the two consoles. This means that, except for future official communications, those who want to play GTA VI on PC on November 19 will have to resort to alternative solutions, such as cloud gaming (if made available in the future), but will not have access to the native version of the game to buy or download. The possibility of a release for PC is still open, considering the recent history of Rockstar Games, but at the moment it is only a speculation until Rockstar will provide specific details on platform and launch window. In order to clarify, we can distinguish three key points: - GTA 6 comes out on PC on November 19th? No, it's not announced. - Can you play on PC via Xbox Cloud at launch? It is not announced and the circular indiscretions have been denied. Could a PC version come up later? Yes, it is possible, but Rockstar has not yet provided an official date. At the moment, to play GTA 6 per day one, players will need a PlayStation 5 or a Xbox Series X|S and a compatible copy of the game.
