Video AI Generated by GTA 6: A Viral Fenomen between the Attack of the Official Trailer

The wait for a gameplay trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI has protracted so long that it has created a parallel industry of fake movies created with artificial intelligence, destined to fill the void. Display numbers are impressive, but community engagement reveals a different picture. Videos, often present familiar scenes of the game: a woman in white dress on a yacht, characters practicing surfing on the beach of Vice City, people rising on a car. Some, like a clip with 1.2 million views on Instagram and 33,000 likes, were ironically labeled as "GTA 6 version Temu". Other videos show sudden transformations of vehicles, with AI losing the sense of perspective, generating contrasting reactions. A user commented with approval: “I love how the car changes.” There are clear signals, such as a screen prompt that invite you to press a button to drink champagne, or interactive maps showing the routes of Port Gellhorn during air combat. Even anomalies as planes flying backwards with reversed propellers are not random. The reaction of the community is mainly critical: comments like "Santo cielo, l'IA", "If it comes out so I sue" and GIF with the word "AI detected" dominate the sections of the comments. The most frequent comment is simply “AI”. Rockstar Games began to remove violating content on X (Twitter) using GTA 6 video generated by AI via DMCA. The move was welcomed by fanbase. The success of these videos lies in the context: Rockstar Games released only two trailers for GTA 6 and did not provide further information on the gameplay. The community is waiting for the official trailer and is particularly frustrated for the lack of concrete content. The AI movies generated, being cheap to produce and easily accessible, find a fertile audience among those seeking content on GTA 6. The algorithm does not distinguish between reality and fiction, while the indignation and derision of fans generate a high number of views and "engagement", despite the content itself being perceived as of low quality.
