According to internal sources in Rockstar, the development of GTA VI has seen the creation of a specific team dedicated exclusively to the management and behavior of NPCs (Non-Player Characters). The decision, fueled by the continuous renewals of the date of release scheduled for 19 November 2026, aimed at ensuring greater depth and realism to the gaming environment, focusing on optimizing interactions between non-playable characters and the player. The goal was to create a more live and dynamic ecosystem, similar to what is seen in games like Red Dead Redemption 2. The timing of the revivals has obviously led Rockstar to rethink the approach to the creation of the game world, giving priority to the quality of experience within the environment itself, rather than at the sole expiration of the release date. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos continue to be the focus of team attention during the development phase.
