Graphical evolution: 12 years of improvement, compared to Leonida in GTA 6 and Mount Chiliad in GTA 5

When GTA 5 was launched in 2013, its impressive mountains and breathtaking landscapes were considered some of the best visuals in an open-world game. Mount Chiliad has become one of the most iconic locations of gaming, with spectacular views, winding streets and unforgettable adventures. Now, 12 years away, GTA 6 brings realistic environmentalism to a completely new level. This comparison shows how the mountains in Leonida have evolved compared to the past, far exceeding the elements present in GTA 5. The improvements go well beyond the simple resolution of the textures: the soil looks more natural, the vegetation is thicker, the lighting looks incredibly realistic and the way the light interacts with rocks, trees and distant hills creates a world almost indistinguishable from reality. Each mountain of Leonida has a much greater depth and detail than is experienced in GTA 5. From realistic shadings to atmospheric haze, passing through improved draw distance and richer colors, Rockstar pushed the limits of what an open-world game can offer. Imagine exploring these mountains by yourself, admiring the sunrise from the highest peaks, driving along winding streets, hiking through the forests or discovering hidden locations scattered in the landscape. This comparison shows how advanced gaming technology has been in the last ten years. GTA 5 revolutionized the industry in 2013, but GTA 6 seems ready to redefine the standards once and for all. Which mountain is more convincing? Leonida in GTA 6 or Mount Chiliad in GTA 5? Do you think this represents Rockstar's greatest graphic leap, or do you think there was still room for further improvements?
