11:00 a.m. PT 2 October 2026: PEGI has updated its website, removing age assessment for GTA 6. The PEGI 18 page – which, as IGN saw, included new details on the game – is no longer available. Instead, there is a blank list saying: “The requested page was not found.” X/Twitter users have acquired and shared the image of the card and spread the content on social media. IGN contacted PEGI to comment. PEGI 18 rating for Grand Theft Auto VI is now available! https://t.co/av3HXd6GQf — iGrandTheftAuto.com (@iGrandTheftAuto) 2 October 2026 ORIGINAL HISTORY: GTA 6 received a PEGI 18 rating, revealing mentions of “decapitations”, the possibility for players to sniff cocaine at any time, “sex practice scenes” and much more. The update, available on the Pan European Game Information Board website, provides players with a relatively detailed account of the Rockstar Games video game in view of its release in November. The PEGI 18 evaluation comes only one day after GTA 6 had received its official ESRB evaluation, which, of course, also led to the evaluation “M for Mature”. The story of GTA 6 allows players to take control of “Jason Duval or Lucia Caminos, two criminals who are involved in a criminal conspiracy following a failed attempt at robbery. ” It adds that they will work together while “become more and more involved in criminal activities” in the city of Vice City, with gameplay that, as we have already seen, is in line with the normal way of doing the Grand Theft Auto. What distinguishes GTA 6 is the unprecedented detail that Rockstar has inserted into the game, with previous images showing an open-world sandbox with sufficient activity to fill the wait of 13 years. PEGI went through it, but there are still many more new highlights to consider. The board described the violence of the game as "blood with a high degree of realism". Some weapons will be more brutal than others, some direct ones capable of “causing greater damage, such as beheaded and detailed dismemberment.” This time, Rockstar made use of "frequent and prominent" drugs, allowing players to consume illicit substances. Cocaine is particularly important to Vice City, with the assessment that promises that Jason and Lucia will be able to use the substance directly from their inventory, because it can be “sniffed directly from their hand at any time”. GTA's PEGI 6 description also touched the "sexual thematic forces", including "nudity, sex scenes, and occasional scenes of sexual practices". It is very much what we knew and some details that we did not know, but we can read the section on the “specific issues on contents” of the summary as a whole below. “This game contains frequent representations of violence; due to the free nature of the game the player can damage all other characters who live the environment. This includes civilians, criminals and authorities.”
