The companies come from GTA VI: a critical analysis

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

The enthusiasm around Grand Theft Auto VI is so high that companies try to exploit the wave. With the release scheduled for November 19, many brands are trying to fit into the hype, despite Rockstar does not offer in-game advertising or collaborations like Fortnite. However, this strategy does not prevent names like BMW and Burger King from "imagining" in Vice City. Other series of video games have legitimate merits in this context. The new trailer for Shrek 2 Remastered is the right way to do so, with its fun parodic opening. Other brands have visually tied to the game of the year through subtle looks and intrinsic of meaning. However, some attempts to imitate the artistic style of GTA are likely to appear as a superficial imitation, more prone to arouse derision than admiration. As Barbie or Squid Game, GTA 6 has become a cultural reference point that exceeds its original medium. The trailers reached an audience on a scale comparable to film, music and important entertainment. Taking advantage of this potential may allow non-specific marks to participate in the event, if this should appear authentic. Rockstar has very limited real world collaborations, including the Miami Heat for clothing and Oakley for the collection edition of GTA 6. However, different brands like Hyundai, JBL and Axe tried to capitalize on enthusiasm by imitating the artistic style of Grand Theft Auto VI. "How do you do, colleague gamer? " It is a natural choice for cars and motorcycles, although now some real vehicles would like to be in-game vehicles. Mobile and deodorant networks? Um... Many "GTA-style maps" appearing on social media approach a lazy imitation, such as last year's trend to Ghibli's AI image. Everyone does, so we have to do it, too. But if every public brand of purple-orange gradients, palms and GTA-style portraits, aesthetics will run out within a few weeks and will not get any brand value if it does not appear authentic. The public is good at identifying opportunism. When unprecedented brand connections to the culture of gaming suddenly appear as part of the GTA VI phenomenon, they are tightened. Unlike Rockstar's art, many imitations rely heavily on AI-generated images, risking even stronger condemnation.
