Despite the lack of official data from Rockstar Games, reservations estimates for GTA VI are already making news. On 18 August, the game generated approximately 4.38 million copies sold, with a turnover close to 395 million euros. These figures come from market analysis and provide a clear indication of global enthusiasm for the expected exit for November 19, 2026. The reservation count began to grow at the end of June, highlighting the impact of the launch on the preorders. The most significant figure is the division between platforms: 77% of the bookings were recorded on PS5, while the remaining 23% on Xbox Series X|S, reflecting the current market dynamics between the two consoles. Overcoming the four million preorders before the release is an unprecedented result in the video game industry, largely made possible by the Rockstar Games brand and the public's confidence. Analysts, even with aggressive projections, estimate up to 25 million copies sold at the launch, amounting to approximately 1,85 billion euros, a number that would rewrite the records of digital entertainment. Despite the relative "good" in which the project developed (with few tests on the field), the strength of the Rockstar brand has compensated for the lack of concrete details, pushing millions of players to make preorders. The PS5 debut is expected to be accompanied by the availability of the game on Xbox Series X|S, although the PC version is not yet confirmed – a historical practice for Rockstar Games. The announcement of the streaming trailer on Netflix is an unusual distribution strategy, intended to expand the title's reference audience. Finally, it should be noted that bookings on PS5 are subject to regional restrictions, while such restrictions are not present for the Xbox Series X|S version.
