GTA 6: The Definitive Trailer and Expert Forecasts

The enthusiasm around GTA VI has no precedent, a phenomenon comparable only to the planetary success of Grand Theft Auto V. The trailer of the game, displayed in only 24 hours by more than 100 million people on YouTube – a record beaten even by the K-Pop BTS group – triggered an unprecedented excitement wave. The soundtrack, Tom Petty's "Love is a Long Road" rock track, recorded an increase of 36,979% on Spotify streaming, witnessing the immediate impact of advertising. With the total revenues of GTA V that are at nearly $8 billion in a decade, expectations for the new title are obviously very high. Rockstar is estimated to have invested $2 billion in development, indicating a significant economic return. But what do the most experienced analysts think of this? Broughy1322, influential YouTuber specializing in GTA, has devoted more than an hour to a detailed photogram analysis of the trailer: “The graphic quality jump is the look that struck me most. It is essential to remember that GTA 5 came out more than ten years ago, at a time when technology was much less advanced. The trailer seems almost a film, which suggests a level of realism never seen before. I still remain skeptical about the density of the crowd in the scene on the beach. However, the possibilities are endless.” The Professional, GTA YouTube expert, also includes a hugely extended map: “GTA 6 will have the largest game space made so far by Rockstar. One of the problems of GTA 5 was the vastness of the countryside, but most of it was composed only of mountains and hills, with little activity. The trailer suggests a vibrant world full of life, as demonstrated by the sequence in which the plane flies over the Florida Keys, rendered incredibly realistic. A key element will be the interaction of non-playing characters (PNG) with the player, similar to the one in Red Dead Redemption 2, where you can greet or interact with the PNGs.”
