GTA VI: The U.S. Army Uses the Game Expectation to Determine Personality

In Fort Stewart, Georgia, an initiative by the U.S. Army is taking advantage of the huge expectation surrounding GTA VI to encourage soldiers to extend their stop. Approximately 20 soldiers of the 9th Genius Battalion of the 3rd Infantry Division will be able to take advantage of four days off from 19 to 22 November, in conjunction with the launch of the new Rockstar Games chapter scheduled for 19 November 2026. The goal is to retain military personnel, a time when convincing soldiers to remain in the army can be complex. In this case, attractiveness is not an economic bonus or career advancement, but the ability to play one of the most anticipated titles of recent years. The condition is clear: accepting to extend its service, soldiers will be able to obtain the expected rest period during the week of the launch of GTA VI. The initiative thus transforms the expectation for the video game into a recruitment and loyalty tool of the staff. According to the available information, at least 20 soldiers have already accepted the offer, with another 130 who will be able to assess the same option by 14 November. It is a specific unit of the US Army, not a general measure at national level. However, the coincidence between the permission and exit of GTA VI remains the central (and curious) element of the incentive. The interest in GTA VI, with a first trailer that exceeded 300 million views on YouTube and a second that exceeded 170 million, is also reflected in this initiative. Rockstar Games has already planned a new extended presentation of the game, further fueling interest in what is prepared to be one of the biggest commercial events of the year in the video game industry. The use of GTA VI as an incentive for the renewal of the stop demonstrates the scope of waiting and enthusiasm generated by the game, a phenomenon that affects the entire video industry.
