GTA VI: The new trailer raises doubts and expectations – A world that looks alive

The new trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI has generated a wave of enthusiasm, but also questions. Can the reconstruction of an incredibly vivid and detailed Vice City from Rockstar Games really exceed expectations? Here is the analysis of the trailer, focused on the general impression that it aroused. The trailer presents gameplay sequences that show exploration, secondary activities and, above all, the manic attention dedicated to environmental realism. The relationship between Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos emerges as a central element of narrative, suggesting a complex and potentially dramatic investigation. The visual impact is impressive: each frame seems to tell a story, creating an unprecedented sense of immersion. Designer Jamie-Lee Lloyd explained how Rockstar Games developed new tools to create a population of diverse and detailed characters, which contributes to making Vice City a live and button place, almost capable of challenging our perception of reality. As pointed out by Michael Wiafe, one of the screenplayers of the game, the goal is to offer players not only predetermined sequences, but also a sense of discovery and possibility, avoiding clichés. The massive use of the PS5 capabilities – although with some compromises in terms of optimization – seems to be a priority for Rockstar Games, with the aim of fully exploiting the hardware potential to offer an extraordinary visual experience. The risk is that the complexity of the created world can be frustrating for those who simply seek immediate action and fun.
