Grand Theft Auto VI: Preview on Netflix Before the Official Trailer

The preview of “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, dedicated to the new chapter of the saga, will be available on Netflix on August 27, 2026 at 15:00 ET (21:00 Italian), six hours before its spread on the official channels of Rockstar Games and on the dedicated site. The event, defined only as “extended look”, has not yet revealed specific details about the content, which could include a new trailer, an insight into the production of the game or a more extensive demonstration. The preview distribution on Netflix is an initiative of Rockstar Games to generate anticipation in view of the final release scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the only platforms currently announced. The preorders are open from 25 June. The story of Grand Theft Auto VI is set between Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida, with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as the main protagonists. You still don’t know if the preview on Netflix will focus on pairing, setting or other aspects of the game. Mi sembra un tentativo di estorcere il massimo interesse prima dell'uscita, rischiando di rendere l'attesa soffocante e di diluire l'impatto del trailer ufficiale. Il fatto che siano previsti sei ore di anteprima, invece di una sessione più concentrata, suggerisce che Rockstar stia cercando di riempire ogni minuto con contenuti potenzialmente inutili, solo per mantenere viva la discussione. Non è chiaro cosa abbiano rivelato i due trailer ufficiali e se questa anteprima aggiungerà qualcosa di veramente nuovo o semplicemente ripeterà ciò che già sappiamo. Il fatto che si parli di un "extended look" lascia spazio a interpretazioni, ma non mi fa sperare in dettagli inediti sulla storia, sui personaggi o sull'ambientazione. Resta da vedere come si inserirà l'esperienza di Boobie Ike e Dre'Quan Priest nel gioco.
