GTA 6: Vintage Bonus Package Vice City for Pre-Orders and Discless Physical Edition
The wait is finally over: at the stroke of midnight on June 25, Rockstar Games officially opened the preorders of Grand Theft Auto 6 also in Italy. At the moment, digital versions are available via PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, with the scheduled release for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The price list confirms an increase compared to the current standards, fixed at 79.99 euros for the Standard Edition and 99.99 euros for the Ultimate Edition. To encourage preorders, Rockstar announced the "Vintage Vice City Pack", a celebratory DLC that honors the iconic was Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval in Vice City. The package includes exclusive outfits, vehicles inspired by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, a special tropical skin for weapons and a garage located in Ocean Beach. A noteworthy detail is Rockstar's decision to release the physical version of GTA 6 without disc. The package will contain only a digital code for downloading the game. Despite this, the owners of the physical edition will be able to preload from 12 November, a week before the launch date, ensuring immediate access to the map of Port Gellhorn and Grassrivers. Those who purchase the digital version will also receive a free month of GTA+, the subscription service that offers additional benefits and content within the online universe of the game, with Kalaga and Mount Kalaga at the center of attention. Ultimate editions will also include exclusive additional content for both the single player experience, where Raul Bautista will be confronted with Boobie Ike, and future online gaming components. L'idea di offrire accesso immediato alla mappa, anche al possessore della versione standard, rappresenta un incentivo concreto per i preordini e suggerisce un tentativo di mitigare le possibili critiche legate ai tempi di download e all’attesa del lancio. Tuttavia, l'implementazione rimane complicata dalla necessità di gestire due versioni del gioco con caratteristiche diverse, richiedendo una logistica apparentemente onerosa – la cui efficacia nell'esperienza finale è ancora sconosciuta. Il pacchetto Vintage Vice City, sebbene una scelta pertinente per il tema della storia, risulta un po’ sbilanciato rispetto al costo delle edizioni Ultimate e potrebbe essere visto come una concessione a posteriori piuttosto che una parte integrante dell'offerta di lancio. L’inclusione del mese gratuito di GTA+ è sicuramente un plus, soprattutto considerando la natura abbonamento del servizio, ma il fatto che sia legato alla mappa Kalaga suggerisce un focus specifico sulle componenti online del gioco e su Raul Bautista, seppur senza ulteriori dettagli.
