Moving away from the continuous speculation on GTA VI, a new information about the game emerged that arouses some concern. Rockstar already offers the GTA+ subscription service, but it seems that the next iteration, GTA VI, could have its own monthly subscription, as suggested by journalist Adam Sessler. The information was collected during the last episode of the podcast “The Joy of Sess” on Twitch, where Sessler, in conversation with slightly old gaming, touched the theme of a potential monthly subscription for GTA 6. Sessler expressed uncertainty and skepticism about the idea, admitting that he would hide under the desk if Rockstar announced such an initiative. The specific details of the subscription service remain limited, but the hypothesis suggests that some content could be reserved for those who would subscribe. Contrary to GTA+, this new service does not seem to focus on the online mode of GTA VI, scheduled for a release of one or two months later than the single-player version of the game. Sessler and his guest discussed how Grand Theft Auto titles often have a huge amount of content, highlighting that the monthly subscription could consist of additional aesthetic elements or, possibly, some weapons. At the moment, it is only speculation, therefore it is advisable to evaluate the information carefully. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the protagonists of the game, are not involved in this possible monetization strategy.
