Actor of GTA 5, Robert Bogue, exceeded 60 Auditions for GTA VI

Robert Bogue, the actor who played Steve Haines in Grand Theft Auto V – FIB's agent, arrogant and obsessed with the camera that forced the crew to perform his loschi affairs – made chisels with his interest in Grand Theft Auto VI. As stated, Bogue exceeded 60 auditions for roles of all kinds, large or small, without receiving any response from Rockstar Games. Bogue shared this story in an interview with Turkish youtuber Anderson Burak and after her virality, she publicly confirmed the details, reasserting that a life as an actress is mainly made of waste. The situation arouses sympathy for the actor, who had done a memorable job for the study, wanted to return to collaborate and did more than 60 auditions without even getting a rejection. He wondered if Rockstar had an unofficial policy against the reuse of the same actors in his games, explaining his exclusion. Over the years, fans had already suspected that Rockstar would prefer to use new faces and voices for each project, in order to make the characters fresher and avoid the "weight" of previous interpretations. However, Bogue is an exception to this rule: he doubled Red Harlow in Red Dead Revolver, then Troy in the expansion The Ballad of Gay Tony for GTA IV and, of course, Steve Haines in GTA 5. This shows that Rockstar has already used the actor several times. If there was a strict "no return" policy, he would never get these roles, suggesting that Rockstar selects and recandidates people when he thinks they are suitable for the project. In this case, Bogue simply wasn't the person they were looking for. Bogue claimed to have done over 60 auditions, without getting any success and avoiding receiving any feedback. Studies that develop a specific character also often have a precise voice in mind. Rockstar is no exception and, indeed, is the most concrete example for his reputation as perfectionism. Although an actor has worked well with the studio, it is not reused only because he wants, preferring new people for each project. However, silence is particularly difficult to justify, and we will not give Rockstar the benefit of the doubt. Overcoming 60 auditions without obtaining any response is an unprofessional management towards those who worked at the studio's biggest game. The actors know the refusal as part of the job and usually receive feedback. The lack of answers, whether by volume, policy or large-scale casting method, clearly wounded Bogue, who deserved better treatment. However, this situation falls within the line already outlined for our journey to Vice City and Leonida: Rockstar is building a net "break" with a new cast led by Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. It is the first game of the GTA VI saga without these actors.
