Cyberleek and the “Leek” in the gameplay of GTA VI: confirmation or simple finding?

A new leak on GTA 6 suggests that hackers had access to a playable version. The news leakage saga on the new iteration of the franchise continues to accumulate new details, with Cyberleek, the well-known online leaker, at the center of attention. The video published by the leaker shows Jason Duval, one of the two protagonists of the game, which overlooks Vice City on board a biplane, offering an overview of the areas of Leonida, where most of the adventure will take place. The film, lasting about two minutes, was subsequently removed from the sharing platforms and its authenticity cannot be verified independently. However, a particularly significant detail emerges from the video: Jason Duval would shoot against a wall creating holes that form the word "leek", a clear reference to the pseudonym used by Cyberleek. This element fuels the hypothesis that the leaker may have had direct access to a playable version of GTA VI, and not only to internal recordings of Rockstar Games. The sequence could represent, in fact, a sort of deliberate signature within the diffuse material. Despite this, this detail is not a definitive proof of the current availability of a playable build. It is plausible that Cyberleek had access to the game in the past and today has only previously acquired videos. Moreover, it cannot be ruled out that the leaker has collected movies from different sources and is gradually publishing them. The video leak shows a phase of flight of Jason Duval above Vice City during the day, with sequences shot with film camera to offer a panoramic view of the game environment. The film interrupts abruptly when Jason completes the writing on the wall, fifth leak of news on GTA VI emerged in the week. Other news escapes include a screenshot of the alleged full game map, gameplay videos with Jason Duval playing basketball and driving a night car as well as scenes of fight and use of a taser. Cyberleek declared his intention to continue to release unpublished material until Rockstar officially announces physical disk versions. At the moment, Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed the authenticity of these new leaks. Quello che mi convince poco è l’eccessiva enfasi sulla "firma" di CyberLeek con la scritta “leek”. Se fosse davvero una build giocabile, perché rendere così ovvio il riferimento? Sembra quasi un tentativo di attirare l'attenzione, un modo per dare più peso alla fuga. È vero che il leaker ha sempre usato lo pseudonimo, ma mi sembra un po’ troppo studiato, come se volesse comunicare qualcosa in modo cifrato. L'idea che possa essere una sorta di "impronta digitale" è affascinante, e alimenta il dibattito sulla sua reale provenienza, ma resto scettico. Il fatto che Rockstar non abbia ancora smentito nulla, e che CyberLeek continui a rilasciare materiale, suggerisce che queste fughe di notizie siano ben reali, anche se la loro origine rimane misteriosa. La sequenza del biplano su Vice City è un ottimo esempio di come Rockstar stia già delineando l'ambientazione: vedere Jason Duval sorvolare la città con quel dettaglio mi fa sognare le missioni in mare aperto e gli scontri aerea, un aspetto che avevo particolarmente apprezzato da GTA V. È un bel modo per dare il benvenuto alla nuova iterazione. Considerato che CyberLeek ha dichiarato di voler continuare a rilasciare materiale fino all'annuncio delle versioni fisiche, posso solo prevedere un aumento dei livelli di tensione nei prossimi giorni - e forse anche qualche altra fuga di notizie inaspettata, dato l’interesse che tutto questo sta generando.
