Jason and Lucia: Rockstar Svela Daily Life Details in the Landscapes of GTA VI

New information revealed by Rockstar Games shows how Jason and Lucia can spend time together outside the main missions. From going to the hand in a park to robbing shops, Rockstar wants their relationship to be part of the exploration of the open world of Grand Theft Auto VI. Jason and Lucia can spend time together in GTA 6 In a new interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, Rockstar Games revealed more details about how Jason and Lucia interact during regular gameplay. Instead of their relationship exists only in the cinematic scenes, the studio wanted the players to approach it while also exploring Vice City and the map of Leonida. Videos of VICE According to Bloomberg, players who control Jason can send a message to Lucia to ask her to meet. A few minutes later, the couple can be seen walking in a park holding hands and talking about their private life. An example includes their account of a time when Lucia's mother got angry with Jason. Their exits can also include a gym trip. Bloomberg describes Lucia running on a roulating tapis while Jason makes squat. Of course, this is still Grand Theft Auto, so the couple can then rob a store and escape from the police flirting and chatting. Basically, a quiet evening at dinner together can turn into a robbery. That, if I have to be honest, it looks pretty awesome! Rob Nelson, responsible for Rockstar's development, explained that a complex artificial intelligence system needed to work these interactions. However, the team considered it essential to allow Jason and Lucia to spend time together in the open world for the game. “This is a game on a couple. They must be a couple,” Nelson recalled. The result looks like a system of more in-depth companions, where spending time with the other protagonist can become part of your normal routine among missions. GTA 6 NPCs can turn a simple spin into a two-hour deviation Rockstar Games also provided us with a close look on how meetings with NPCs can lead players to unexpected situations. Phil Hooker, responsible for Rockstar's development, explained he went to test a narrative mission when he accidentally bumped another car. His driver responded by charging her against and shouting, before both characters stopped to solve the situation. Already with little vital energy, Hooker went to a grocery store to recover healing objects. Along the way, another NPC began to insult him, triggering another violent confrontation. When he finally got to the store, nobody was in the box, so he robbed him. Things have become even more chaotic from there. After escaping the police and abandoning his vehicle, Hooker found a valuable car he intended to sell. However, another driver almost bumped into him, pushing him to follow that vehicle instead. That deviation led him to a complex containing more goods to steal. He then took the goods stolen from an intermediary, where he was given a suggestion on another activity. When all this happened, it's been two hours. Hooker had not yet reached the narrative mission he had originally planned to test.
