Theory of the trailer GTA VI: the code on the police camera rages among fans
A new theory about the release date of the next Grand Theft Auto VI trailer is circulating heavily in the community of fans. The speculations came about on Reddit after the publication of images from a closed-circuit camera of an employee of law enforcement forces, where the digital marking “08-04” was present. Many fans believe that this time signal represents a clue to the announcement of the trailer. The notion of the discussion concerns the interpretation of the given formats used in the different geographical areas. Some users, adhering to the American standard (MM-GG), propose on 4 August as possible date. Others, taking into account that the development of the game takes place in the UK where the GG-MM format is prevalent, suggest on April 8. Rockstar Games, known for its marketing strategy teaser and rich in easter egg, often stimulates detailed analysis by fans, transforming search for clues into a key element in anticipation of its games. The community of Grand Theft Auto VI actively discusses the theory of the possible date of revelation of the trailer. Despite the general enthusiasm, many manifest skepticism on the validity of the theory, underlining the absence of official confirmations by developers and questioning the probability of an important announcement before the company's next financial reports. However, the original publication captured the attention of thousands of players, feeding debates and expectations around Grand Theft Auto VI. La cosa che mi convince meno di questa teoria è l’eccessiva enfasi sul formato data. Rockstar ha sempre giocato con il nostro inganno, creando indizi che poi si rivelano casuali o simbolici. Quello che noto e' l'uso ripetuto dell'immagine di Jason Duval: quell'orologio non e' un semplice orologio, e’ una costante nel gameplay, un punto focale che amplifica l'effetto del 08-04. Il fatto che l’ora 11:08 sia stata esplicitamente mostrata nel trailer, in un contesto che al momento non ha una logica narrativa evidente, suggerisce che ci sia qualcosa di più di un semplice riferimento temporale in gioco. Non mi stupirebbe se la presenza ossessiva dell'orologio Duval fosse legata alla storia di Leonida, l’uomo sulla spiaggia del primo GTA, e che il 08-04 rappresenti una data significativa nel suo passato o nella storia di Ambrosia. La teoria americana (MM-GG) e quella britannica (GG-MM) sono solo un diversivo, pensate per accontentare i diversi segmenti della community. Il vero indizio si nasconde proprio nell’uso del formato GG-MM, che punta direttamente al Regno Unito, dove il gioco è sviluppato. Secondo me, la data del trailer non sarà il 4 agosto né l'8 aprile, ma una data più legata alla storia del gioco o agli eventi a Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga e Vapid Stanier.
