Take-Two confirms the release date of GTA VI: 19 November 2026

Despite the growing concerns of fans, Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI is still scheduled for 19 November 2026. During the presentation of the results of the third quarter of the fiscal year 2026, CEO Strauss Zelnick denied the voices of further renewals of Rockstar Games' open-world title. The launch date is set for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. After several advances – initially fixed for the previous autumn, then postponed to 26 May 2026 – the roadmap is now stabilized. At the moment no release dates have been communicated for PCs or other platforms, feeding speculations on the distribution of the game. Zelnick also announced the start of the marketing campaign for GTA VI, scheduled for this summer. The CEO has specified that there are no plans for a differentiated retail distribution with the aim of limiting the dissemination of information and avoiding leaks of news, as stated in an interview with Variety: "We have no plans like this." Take-Two press release emphasizes optimism for the future of 2027, defining that year “a turning year” for the company and entertainment industry, with GTA VI representing the culmination of efforts. Successful expectations are high, and Take-Two expects record sales and popularity. The game will be set in the state of Leonida, a Florida-inspired version, where players will play the roles of criminals Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar Games has invested huge resources to create an immersive, immersive and technologically cutting-edge experience.
