Virgin Media pays 800€ to an Irish player to try GTA VI

A gamer in Ireland has the opportunity to earn 800 euros simply by trying Grand Theft Auto VI. Virgin Media Ireland is organizing a competition to hire a single player, offering a fee of 100 euros per hour for eight hours of play. The cost of the game is at the expense of the company, so the winner will be able to play at the launch, fixed for November 19, without any additional expense. The selection is open to anyone who has more than 18 years and resides in the Republic of Ireland, without requiring a Virgin Media subscription or gaming experience. To participate, simply fill out a short form and motivate your application in about two hundred words, with particular emphasis on the passion for the game. Applications must be submitted by 15 November, with the winner contacted within seven days. There is a small hitch: in return for the compensation, the winner will have to publish an honest review of GTA VI on Instagram or TikTok, tagging Virgin Media Ireland as a sponsor and clearly indicating that it is an advertisement. The review may not contain images, screenshots, audio or other content owned by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. This agreement stands out for the fact that, at the moment, playing GTA VI is revealing a costly operation. We have already highlighted the rise in console prices, the high cost of the entire merchandising offered by Rockstar (about $700) and price variations between different countries. For most users, GTA VI is a significant expense. However, for an individual in Ireland, it is a real gain. The 800 euros buy the game and an upgrade (although modest), but the purchase of official merchandising is worth more than this sum. For those who do not reside in Ireland, hope is in our prize competition where we have a guide on how to win a free copy of the Ultimate edition. You will not pay us 800 euros, but a free copy remains a free copy. This Virgin Media initiative is an effective marketing stratagem, especially considering the widespread enthusiasm for the launch of the most anticipated game in recent years. Getting 800 euros to play GTA VI, with the game included, is a stake on which many users are willing to compete. Applications must be submitted by 15 November and GTA VI will be available from 19 November, so anyone who wins will earn while others will have to pay.
