The title is breaking records on XBOX; we expect many more records will be broken during the fall, and our internal analysis shows that our preorder share corresponds to our market share of consoles. Ball claims we have to look at things from a proportional perspective. Responding directly to Tom Warren del Verge, he said that the Xbox share in the preorders of GTA 6 corresponds to its share in the overall console market. In other words, Xbox is not losing ground. He does it all the time. It is also expected that other records fall in autumn. This reaction has a background of truth. GTA 6 cannot sell more copies on XBOX if the PS5 market share is much higher. However, the report is not completely wrong. The PS5 was intended to drive the preorders of GTA 6 to a large extent, although the number of Xbox Series S/X sold was comparable to that of the PS5 and PS5 Pro. Why? Well, to begin with, each trailer was run on a PS5 base, Sony invested money to be the main marketing partner of the game and the PS5 Pro is the best way to play at the launch. If you're considering which console you buy, the distribution of preorders matters less than what system you already have.
