For those who believe that 30 minutes are too few for a gameplay video or “Trailer 3”, they are in complete disagreement. I conducted a preliminary research and discovered that Rockstar released about 70 screenshots for GTA VI over the years. If all these 70 screenshots were combined in one video, with a screenshot kept on the screen for 10 seconds, the entire video would be only 12 minutes. Also, Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 of GTA VI last only about 3 minutes and 18 seconds. The gameplay trailers of RDR2 and GTA V combined amount to about 15 minutes. So I hope, and realistically I imagine, that an “Extended Look” does not limit itself to a typical gameplay trailer or simply “Trailer 3”. I think an "Extended Look" can be much more an experience behind the scenes, showing developers and directors sitting in front of the camera, answering questions, explaining how certain gameplay systems were created and talking about the GTA VI development path. We could even witness the return of Strauss Zelnick of Take-Two talking about the game. It could also be the return of the classic narrative voice of gameplay, which explains things like: “Here you can see how the fight differs between Jason and Lucia depending on their individual forces. ” The video could then cut to show a dev that explains how the team created those animations and mechanics. I think we could see a mix of gameplay, new and mechanical reposts, UI, history development and backstage images rather than a continuous gameplay showcase. Speaking of re-proposed mechanics, I would like to see how mechanics and functionality have been implemented from RDR2 to VI, and things that did not want to bring from 5 to 6. One thing I would like to see is that the 30-minute video is divided into different segments. It could start with filming before moving to gameplay, with developers and directors explaining what we're seeing. Then it could move to the user interface, menus, inventory, map and other systems. After that, there might be a section focusing on the story in which the directors explain the characters and the narrative. And imagine if the camera would follow someone through a Rockstar building while explaining the development process: “This is Rockstar North, one of the leading GTA VI development studies.” The camera would then panoramic on walls full of concept art, character design, a timeline of different map changes and other development materials. This may be an exaggeration, but they may also have a segment showing motion capture and how Rockstar captures movements for different characters. Maybe we could also get the actors' presentations behind Jason and Lucia?? ? And honestly, I think Rockstar's choice to collaborate with Netflix may have a wider purpose than just placing the video behind a paywall. Perhaps they want to present GTA VI as something more than just another “game”. It is a massive experience, entirely direct and focused on history.
