The Evolution of Grand Theft Auto: A Journey Without Preferences

It is incredible to reflect on how the evolution of the Grand Theft Auto saga has been radical. From the iconic streets of San Andreas and Liberty City to the vibrant world of Los Santos, Rockstar Games has continually redefined the concept of open-world play. With GTA 6 at the door, this jump seems wider than ever. Retracing the previous titles, we remember how CJ characters became gaming legends and how millions of players spent countless hours exploring San Andreas well before the open worlds became the industry standard. Then came GTA 5, with breathtaking graphics, a huge map and gameplay that dominated the video game landscape for over ten years. Today, GTA 6 seems ready to push the limits even further. From light and photorealistic reflections to incredibly detailed cars, to the animation of realistic characters, to water physics and a living world populated by dynamic NPCs, Rockstar seems to offer the most important graphic leap in saga history. Each trailer and screenshot show a level of realism almost unimaginable just a few years ago. It is particularly impressive to compare these titles one by the other. The comparison perfectly highlights how gaming technology has evolved – from the simplest view of the old GTA to the surprising levels of realism that we will see in Vice City and Leonida in GTA 6. Remember how industry has changed its course and why Grand Theft Auto continues to establish new standards with each generation. What was the GTA title that gave you the most beautiful memories? GTA: San Andreas GTA 4 GTA 5 GTA 6 (from what we have seen so far) Tell us your favorite GTA ever and why!
