The new Extended Look on Grand Theft Auto VI confirmed some insights into the gameplay that until now were based on speculations, while offering interesting details about the game mechanics. Although already cataloged the wide open world of the city of Vice City, the editorial team focused on the analysis of the operating system that feeds it. In addition to showing the possibilities of play in Leonida, Rockstar Games offered an in-depth look on real-time systems, as pointed out by Dan Houser, co-founder of the company, which constitutes the core of the Grand Theft Auto experience. Changes in Gameplay: The Extended Look revealed the possibility of alternating between the two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, in a fluid and immediate way. The team highlighted how this system was implemented with a fluidity to make even seemingly trivial moments as the endless scroll on the characters' cell phones during car racing. The GTA 6 guide includes a complete analysis of all information released to date, updated regularly. The sequence in which Lucia jumps from a building has confirmed the possibility of playing as a couple or split up and facing the game in single-player mode, proposing the three-person scheme of the Grand Theft Auto V but with a superior fluidity that allows to create complex situations during the fights. Personal Customization: The game introduces a system of dynamic consequences: the actions of the protagonists influence their physical appearance and psychological state. The classic "dog petting" became viral, generating a positive icon in the Honor Meter, similar to the one in Red Dead Redemption 2 but more integrated in everyday gameplay. A system of "evil and angel" tracks the positive and negative actions of the players, creating a persistent indicator that affects the gaming experience. Jason and Lucia change appearance according to the diet (for example, physical exercise shapes their muscles while lack of sleep or escapes from the police plague them. Rockstar provided details about this system in Dazed, also showing the presence of the “cellulite” that affects the appearance of the characters, present both during the missions and in free roam mode. *Relations and Narratives: Rob Nelson, head of development of Rockstar North, explained that the goal was to evolve Jason and Lucia without altering their essence. The narrative team stressed the importance of the choices, in particular those regarding the relationship between the two protagonists, including the management of relational dynamics – as confirmed by the memes that prefix Lucia who writes to Jason during a theft, and he who remains faithful if she becomes a “worm”. Finally, a description-based alert system was revealed, which tracks players based on their clothing, face and vehicle, instead of using a traditional stellar indicator.
