GTA VI: No Announced Collection Editions - Updates on Official Editions

On 28 August 2026 Rockstar Games has not yet announced the existence of a collection edition for Grand Theft Auto VI. The officially confirmed editions are the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition, both available in digital format, while the physical version is limited to a box with download code, without built-in disc. This means that at present there is no official product complete with statues, artbook, steelbook, premium maps or other collector's items. However, this does not exclude any future announcement of a special edition. Rockstar and Take-Two have a consolidated history of special editions, collector's box and premium merchandising. Despite this, just three months after the release scheduled for 19 November 2026, any “Collector’s” package displayed online without a direct reference to Rockstar Store, Rockstar Games, PlayStation, Xbox or an authorized retailer should be considered exclusively as noise, concept or bundle created by third parties. Two editions were officially released: Grand Theft Auto VI Standard Edition and Grand Theft Auto VI Ultimate Edition. The Standard includes the basic game and can be updated later by purchasing the Ultimate Upgrade Edition. The Ultimate Edition offers additional content related to the history of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, as well as other bonuses described in the official pages. There is currently no third edition called Collector’s, Deluxe, Premium Collector or similar. The Standard Edition is available at €79.99 in the console store, representing the basic version of the game. The Last Edition is sold at €99.99, with a price difference of €20 compared to the Standard Edition, consistent with the Upgrade Ultimate sold separately on Xbox and also provided on other supported ecosystems. It is important to note that the Ultimate Edition does not represent a physical collection edition, but rather a digital/premium version of content. The term "Ultimate" refers simply to the most complete form of the game, without automatically implying the presence of physical collection objects. The physical package contains only the download code, allowing preload from 12 November 2026, with an official release set for 19 November. Despite this, the physical box could still affect collectors for aesthetic reasons or exposure, given its limited functionality (discretion absence). This also involves a lesser possibility of letting or reselling the software after the redemption of the code. Rockstar could still announce a Collector’s Edition due to the great expectation surrounding GTA VI, and then sell it at a later time via its own store or as a separate product.
