Preordini GTA VI: Record Numbers - Analysts Predicte Sales from Billion Dollars Before Launch

The game is still expected for 19 November 2026, but the data on the preorders of GTA VI are already driving the video market mad. Since Rockstar Games opened its bookings on June 25, analysts began to release increasingly surprising estimates, with figures that far exceed expectations even for the most optimistic. According to Newzoo, in the United States and in the main European markets, over 180 million dollars have already been deposited in the first week of preorders. By designing this data on a global scale, based on the distribution of GTA V's sales, approximately $ 260 million is estimated worldwide. In addition to these confirmed figures, there are indiscretions according to which GTA VI may have already reached 39 million preorders globally, for a total of over 3 billion dollars of revenues before launch. Some estimates, based on the stock movements in Take-Two Interactive's purse, suggest that in the first hour from the opening of the preorders the game would generate approximately $1 billion. It is important to emphasize that these figures are not yet official estimates. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not released precise information on preorders. The projections for the day one and the first year are equally ambitious: the analyst Joost van Dreunen previews that in the first year of life GTA VI can reach at least 30% of the total public console, pairs to approximately 38 million copies sold and beyond 3 billion dollars of revenues. Some more optimistic projections even speak of a possible arrival at 65 million copies in the first year, with revenues up to 5 billion dollars. If only a part of these forecasts should be realized, GTA VI would redefine the standards of the video industry, exceeding the sales and revenues obtained from titles like GTA V in much shorter times. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at the price of 80 dollars for the standard edition and 100 dollars for the premium one, starting from 19 November 2026.
