Cyberleek: The Leak of GTA 6 is not just a head, but a Rockstar attack
The Cyberleek group, responsible for the leak of GTA 6, published a manifesto in which it claims its gesture as an act of protest against practices held anti-consumer by Rockstar and the entire video industry. According to the group, the leak has not been dictated only by the desire to sow wrinkles, but also by the desire to denounce what they consider injustices in the video game market. Cyberleek's manifesto lists a series of common issues in the industry: games sold incompletely spread for "live service", content already present on disc riveted like DLC, and publishers who disable servers making games inaccessible without offering refunds. The group also criticizes the model of the physical version of GTA 6, where the game will be downloaded by code, without a physical disk, and some content will be available only in the paid Ultimate Edition. The specific case of Rockstar was further powered by the condemnation of the Stop Killing Games movement, born after the actions of Ubisoft that made The Crew unusable by turning off the game servers. Cyberleek, however, explicitly condemned the leak, calling it "destructive". Cyberleek declares the intention to continue hitting other publishers considered anti-consumer and is collecting funds through a meme coin used as a watermark on leaked videos. The group also requires a public statement and apologies from Rockstar, as well as concrete commitments for the future. Rockstar, meanwhile, is actively removing all the leaked material from social platforms. Despite this, the available films remain wide: they include the full map of the game, the main character Jason Duval in various gaming situations, driving sequences and combat. Given the launch date scheduled for 19 November 2026, avoiding social channels is a recommended option for those who do not want to be spoiler prey. Remember that the first official preview on Netflix is scheduled for August 27, when a new trailer will be presented exclusively.
